Some dogs just feel everything more — the grass, the weather, every little itch.

Our Canine Clean Dog Shampoo Bar starts with a gentle, old-school cold process base:  olive oil for softness, coconut oil for bubbly cleansing, grass-fed beef tallow for a firm, long-lasting bar, avocado oil for extra nourishment, and castor oil for a silky lather that moves easily through fur.

In addition, to that base we fold in colloidal oatmeal, honey and aloe vera — two ingredients long-trusted in both human and veterinary care to help calm itchy, easily irritated skin and support a healthy barrier.

For structure and feel, we use rose Kaolin clay – a very mild, naturally colored clay often chosen for dry or sensitive skin, which helps lift surface impurities without the grabby, over-drying effect of harsher clays.

Sodium lactate, a naturally derived fermentation ingredient, quietly does the behind-the-scenes work:  it helps the bar harden, unmold cleanly, and last longer by your tub, so you get more gentle baths per bar.

There’s no added fragrance — because sensitive dogs don’t need the extra challenge of strong scents — and no dyes beyond the soft blush of Kaolin clay.  This bar is made to lather easily, rinse clean, and leave behind a dog that feels comfortably washed, not stripped, with skin and coat that can get back to the business of everyday adventures.

Our soap is hand-poured in small batches and cut by hand. Each dog shampoo bar bears its own charming irregularities, yet every one arrives with a generous weight of at least 3.5 ounces — a minor eccentricity in shape but never in substance.
