Natural soap colorants are ingredients that tint soap without synthetic dyes. Common examples include clays, powdered herbs, spices, and certain botanicals. For instance, French green clay, rose clay, and kaolin can give soft earthy shades while also influencing slip and skin feel. Spirulina, indigo, turmeric, and paprika can create greens, blues, yellows, and oranges, though their tones may shift over time. Natural colorants often produce more muted, variable hues compared to lab-created pigments, which many people find appealing and authentic.
